Mr. Pip’s Favorite Treats
Treat Facts
-
4oz chicken breast = 1oz dehydrated
NUTRITION: Each dehydrated ounce contains approximately 11% fat and 89% protein.
SERVING: Depends on dog size, but never the whole bag. You wouldn’t feed your little pup an entire chicken breast at once, right? General recommendation is 1-2 strips.
PROVIDE PLENTY OF WATER: These treats are dehydrated so always have fresh water available.
-
Store in a cool area, away from direct sunlight. Exposure to humidity will spoil the treats.
Use within 1 month of opening and within 6 months of the package Made On Date. Refrigeration will prolong freshness & extend shelf life by about 3 months or keep in the freezer for 6 months.
Rule of Paw: Should you spot something funky growin’ it’s time to get it goin’ into the trash.
NOTE: There will be white on the bottom which happens naturally during the dehydration process, as well as some white striations & specks throughout the pieces. None of this is mold and is perfectly normal.

Everything's better when you work for it! Providing a challenge is great mental stimulation for your pup and will foster your bond together… Plus it’s fun!
Set up a scavenger hunt.
Hide small pieces around the room. Start out easy by letting your pup watch you place the treats, then progress as they learn the game.
Try interactive toys.
Mr. Pip’s favorite is the West Paw Quizl with 1-2 Lickity Chickadee strips wedged inside. He’s also a fan of the West Paw Toppl, snuffle mats, and Bob-a-Lot.
Teach some new tricks.
Start with “high five” and “crawl” for the super-duper-cuteness win!
Practice old tricks.
Brush up on basic training; sit, stay, down. Playing fetch never gets old and having a well behaved dog is always rewarding.
Use every last crumb.
Little pieces make great meal toppers. Get your moneys worth & dump the end of that bag right onto dinner!

Start with 5.01 oz. thawed chicken breasts (always freeze first to kill any potential bacteria).
Slice thin. Trim fat as you go along, this it the time consuming part. Fat will make the treats stringy and shorten shelf life.
Dehydrate for 8-12 hrs at 165 degrees. The time depends on how thin the pieces are and dehydrators vary. The longer they go the more crunchie the result.
Cool for 1-2 hrs.
Expect approximately 4:1 dehydrated ratio.
Store in airtight packaging. For longer storage keep in fridge or freezer.
Who does chicken better?
Hint: Our treats are the winner, winner, over your chicken dinner.
Our small treat bags have more ACTUAL chicken than the 3.63 oz. pressed patty of your McDonald's Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich. Yes, we weighed it. They cost less than lunch, but last much longer & are healthy!
Ba Da Ba Ba Ba…..… Your dog is Lovin’ it!
